Reincarnation Manhwa Recommendation: The Unintentionally Ideal Adopted Daughter

I recommend this if you want to read a reincarnation manhwa with a smart female child pretending to be a mastermind to survive

Plot Summary:

Arin Han has reincarnated into 7-year-old Viola Vellatoux from her favorite novel but that’s not necessarily a good thing for two reasons.

The first is that Viola doesn’t have a happy ending in the original story, having used everything in her power to kill or remove everyone else from the line of succession and ending up alone.

And the second is that her murder-happy family will not hesitate to do what it takes to get ahead.

This includes things like assassination, violence, poison, and so on.

Viola’s main goal is to survive and live a happy life with her family, both of which require pretending she wants the right to succession and that she’s a manipulative genius.

But in truth, she’s constantly panicking on the inside, terrified of being found out and then killed.

My Thoughts:

TL;DR This is one of the best manhwa at keeping me well-fed

I’m a sucker for protagonists like Viola, who have to maintain a façade because their life is at stake if they’re found out.

It’s even better (to me, at least) if they know the future because they transmigrated into a novel but they’re still anxious or struggling despite that.

To protect herself, she has to pretend to be a bloodthirsty child who can plot and scheme against the other family members.

And while Viola does a good job of keeping up appearances thanks to her acting skills, there are also times when her words or actions are misunderstood.

But even those moments tend to go in her favor as people misinterpret them as still in character or even going beyond their expectations.

In addition, while Viola tends to use her “cold-blooded killer” side to get her way, she has found ways to use her childlike side too. She demands pastries and strawberry juice in a way that’s still consistent with her image. This makes Viola more endearing to the side characters (and me.)

Side characters have concluded that even though she’s not a Vellatoux by blood, she certainly acts like one.

Where it’s going

The manhwa is still ongoing, with 66 chapters as of this post.

I really can’t wait to see how Viola continues to win over the other members of her family and make them go through their own forms of character development.

And if there’s one thing that I’m hoping doesn’t happen, it’s that the story doesn’t veer too hardly into romance (yes, it’s a romance fantasy, but still.)

The story has introduced some potential love interests but considering what Viola has to worry about to reach her happy ending, adding romance would subtract from what the story is focused on.

Like, the girl already has enough on her plate trying to make this family more normal, adding anything else would be unnecessary.
