Summary of the Plot So Far

Ju-i Hong has been dealing with a bra-stealing stalker and tried to jump him at a café with the help of her brother and friends.

Junwon Do was going to meet his blind date (which he didn’t want) at the same cafe but was mistaken for Ju-i’s stalker and had his expensive watch broken in the struggle.

She now has to pay him back for his watch.

And based on the prologue, we can guess that’s through a fake relationship.

Though not before some misunderstandings.

My Thoughts (Contains Minor Spoilers)

TL;DR This is a modern romance with such good rom-com energy, it could be adapted into a K-Drama

Female Lead

So far, Ju-i has been a smart and strong protagonist while staying pretty realistic.

We see her smart side when she lies or makes up elaborate stories on the fly to get away from trouble.

Although it can be really funny (especially in chapter 8), those times include creepy men not leaving Ju-i alone because she’s beautiful.

And she seems to have a long history of dealing with these types which seems relevant to the plot.

On the other hand, what makes her strong is her willingness to stand up to her future mother-in-law in the prologue.

Which makes her so interesting compared to other FLs.

Aside from her confidence and great improv skills though, she’s not without clumsy moments.

However, they’re relatable mistakes that made me feel flashbacks so I can’t help but like her more.

Male Lead

Junwon is the rich CEO of another business in her building and is well-known for being cold.

Despite that reputation, he’s not a jerk and is actually pretty sweet.

At one point, he thinks Ju-i is in danger due to a misunderstanding and goes out of his way to “save” her despite being strangers.

We don’t know much else about him other than he’s not interested in marriage, he’s rich, and he’s a green flag ML but I can’t wait to learn more about him.

General Thoughts

Another thing to note is the art, which is beautifully done.

Everyone from the main characters to the side characters looks amazing, to say the least.

And the side characters seem nice for the most part, especially Ju-i’s family.

I do have one theory on the stalker though.

I think it’s the man, Minjae, next to Junwon at the baseball game and it’s because he hasn’t shown the pictures to Ju-i despite saying he would.

They did show him in a relationship with one of her coworkers but I still don’t buy it.
