As much as everyone, including myself, loves regression and reincarnation manhwa, it’s always nice to read manhwa with a protagonist who doesn’t have the memories of a past life to take advantage of.
These MCs are less likely to breeze past hurdles and must react to problems instead of planning ahead of them.
So here’s a list of my best manhwa with no reincarnation and no regression that I’ve read so far!
The Stellar Swordmaster
I recommend this if you want an action fantasy manhwa with a non-OP MC in a medieval setting

Morgana Winterberry comes from a coven of witches who have been enemies with a vampire clan for centuries.
She meets Oz, a vampire, on what was supposed to be a day of peaceful negotiations when chaos erupts during the proceedings and she accidentally turns him into a cat.
As Morgana works to change Oz back, they learn more about each other and why their coven and clan are feuding in the first place.

Read this if you want an urban fantasy manhwa with no dungeons and an OP, morally gray FL
After several worlds collided, an inter-dimensional war broke out over limited resources for a newly overpopulated Seoul.
It temporarily stopped, however, when everyone joined forces to stop the dimensional dragon, Nhedhuk from killing them all though their combined strength wasn’t enough.
A few years later, the dimensions barely get along but there are some neutral zones where anyone can enter.
One such zone is Peace Restaurant, which is owned by Sua, the strongest chef in Seoul and the one who defeated Nhedhuk.
Despite everything, her two main concerns are serving her customers with only the best monster ingredients and paying her rent.
Armonia the Monster Whisperer
Try this if you want a romance fantasy manhwa with enemies-to-lovers and don’t mind flawed protagonists
Unlike most humans, Armonia can speak with monsters.
And after running away from home, Armonia was raised by the monsters of Woltar Forest for 17 years.
But when the emperor declared a monster hunt set in Woltar Forest, Armonia decides to stop it by meeting with the leader of the monster hunt, Kansler Hydeh.
Armonia unknowingly meets him on her journey and they start on the wrong foot, which makes persuading him difficult.
Not only that, both have prejudices to reconcile with before they can truly work together.
The Remarried Empress
I recommend this if you want a royal fantasy with romance and relationship drama
Empress Navier was beloved by many for her intelligence and kindness.
And from the commoners to the nobles, everyone believed her marriage to Emperor Sovieshu would last.
Everything changed though, when she learned Sovieshu secretly planned on divorcing her to have his mistress become empress.
When he formally requested a divorce, however, she accepted on the condition she be allowed to remarry.
Which turned out to be immediately with the emperor of a neighboring country, Heinrey.
Teenage Mercenary
This is great if you like action manhwa with an OP MC from the start and don’t mind an episodic plot
After ten years of working as a child mercenary in a foreign country, Ijin Yu goes home to Korea and reunites with his family.
Starting over, he’s now a normal high school senior and living a much more peaceful life than before though not for long.
When he isn’t in class, he’s fighting school bullies, security professionals, members of organized crime, hired killers, and more.
He doesn’t mind though if it’s to protect his family and friends.
Potion Witch
I suggest this if you’re interested in a low fantasy manhwa focused on a mystery
Vanna runs an herb shop by day and is a vigilante known as Witch Raven by night.
By cursing criminals who escape the law in Blalock City, she’s beloved by the public and hated by the police.
And by being a good potion-maker, her victims sometimes become her customers, seeking to remove the Witch Raven’s curse.
Her business set-up was going smoothly until she accidentally turned a policeman, Sion, into a child.
Wanting to take advantage, Sion asks her to help him investigate an elite academy for smuggling potions.
Baby Prisoner of the Winter Castle
You might enjoy this if you like watching a neglected female lead win over her new found-family
Clarisse is the sole survivor of the Grezekaiah royal family.
She would’ve been dead too if the enemy kingdom didn’t have a law stating children under 18 can’t be executed.
And so she becomes the prisoner of the man who killed her family, Duke Maximilian Sheridan until her execution on her 18th birthday.
Surprisingly, she starts getting close to the Duke and others within his estate in spite of the circumstances.
Also, she has magic!
