I recommend this if you want a zombie manhwa with a smart MC facing an ethical dilemma
Summary of the Plot So Far
A zombie virus has broken out, quickly overwhelming the military and altering society.
Being infected isn’t the end for certain people though.
Specifically those who were injected with an incomplete vaccine during the outbreak.
Infection still turns them into zombies but the vaccine allows them to slowly become human again.
But there’s a drawback where they’re becoming human with decomposing organs.
So to not die, many of them are harvesting organs from survivors.
And we follow army surgeon Mincheol Baek, a former zombie looking for his family in the midst of this.

My Thoughts (Contains Minor Spoilers)
TL;DR Starts pretty strong with an interesting premise and subverting some tropes
I’m not going into specific characters for this manhwa, largely because there’s obviously going to be character death.
However, I will say I really like how the female characters are characterized.
They have agency and different motivations giving them influence instead of just being burdens.
I also like how Mincheol doesn’t take chances on potentially problematic people.
That said, the overall setting is terrifying.
The zombies are similar to World War Z where they run after any humans they see or smell and infect through bites.
Keep in mind they mostly ignore former zombies.
They also keep chasing regardless of their body’s condition, making them even harder to get away from.
Based on this, It’s safe to say the zombie virus has spread through much of the country.
Though there’s the question of how many survivors there are compared to former zombies.
The few who have stayed uninfected are being targeted for organ harvesting by former zombies who seem to be military personnel for the most part.
It’s not quite clear if former zombies are any stronger than humans but they are harder to kill.
They have some regeneration and don’t feel pain.
And on top of all this is the vaccine that’s allowing this to happen in the first place.
Somehow, the military already developed one, albeit incomplete, by the time the outbreak started which means the military and probably the government were aware of the virus beforehand.
No idea on how Baek is going to find out more about this but I can’t wait for future chapters!
