The Queen Never Cry or Queen Don’t Cry meme started on Reddit when u/OriginalAlberto posted a panel from a Korean webcomic/manhwa called The Ki Sisters.
After that, the image went viral on both Twitter and TikTok, gathering millions of views.
The fan-translated panel is from chapter 34 of the manhwa, where a new mother, Queen Serina, stops her baby’s crying by saying “Queen never cry.”
This chapter has yet to be officially released in English though the first 20 chapters are currently available to read for free.

The manhwa carries the same vibe from the viral panel, which is being funny in the most unhinged ways.

The story follows 4 sisters, Jang-nyeo, Sal-gyo, Jae-rim, and Jenny who’ve lived isolated from the world until Jenny wants to enroll in high school to meet her crush.
While Jenny and her sisters mean well, they’re a mix of intimidating, socially clumsy, and weirdly hypercompetent.
Which comes into play when doing things like planning Jenny’s first day of school though it’s not limited to school life.
The manhwa explores the lives and antics of each sister, showing their family dynamic and the chaos that follows them.
